Deep Cleaning in Maryland

Deep Cleaning across Maryland, coordinated from first call to final photo

Routine dirt, mold and biological growth are removed with safe, cemetery-approved deep cleaning for granite and bronze — no harsh pressure washing that could damage the stone. Deep cleaning restores a bright, cared-for appearance; structural resetting and heavy refinishing are handled by our repair and restoration services. Every clean comes with before-and-after photos.

Across Maryland, deep cleaning is delivered through our South network, so you get one clear point of contact and a crew coordinated to your cemetery — with nearby hubs in Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina supporting scheduling across the region.

We work with monuments purchased from any retailer — not just our own family of brands — and every visit in Maryland is documented with photos so distant families can see the work was done correctly and respectfully.

Maryland cemetery facts

VA cleaning rules for government markers in Maryland

VA's National Cemetery Administration lists 3 cemeteries in Maryland: 0 open for new burials, 1 open for cremated remains only and 2 with no new gravesites (closed). VA also lists 5 grant-funded state or tribal veterans cemeteries in Maryland.

  • The goal of cleaning is to remove air pollution soiling, lichen, bird droppings, dirt, salts and sap. It is not to make the headstone or marker look “like new.”

  • VA prohibits the general public from power washing government-furnished headstones and markers because of the damage it may cause to historical headstones.

  • Improper or unnecessary cleaning can speed up the deterioration of marble and granite.

History

The other interwar national cemeteries are Long Island, New York; Fort Bliss and Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Fort Snelling, Minnesota; and Fort Rosecrans and Golden Gate, California.

The site occupied by Baltimore National Cemetery was an historic estate called Cloud Capped (or Cap), which occupied an elevated setting adjacent to Frederick Road as early as 1750.

What families say

Trusted by families and funeral homes across the country

“They handled everything with our mother’s monument — delivery, cemetery coordination, installation and photos afterward. We live in another state, so knowing it was set correctly and respectfully meant the world to us.”

Linda M.

Family, out-of-state

“The deep cleaning and leveling completely transformed the family plot. The before-and-after photos were incredible, and now the stone looks like it did when it was first installed. We’re very grateful for the care they showed.”

Emily R.

Family

“We added dates and a portrait to an existing monument through their engraving team. Everything matched perfectly and was done right at the cemetery. Communication was clear from start to finish.”
