Deep Cleaning across California, coordinated from first call to final photo
Routine dirt, mold and biological growth are removed with safe, cemetery-approved deep cleaning for granite and bronze — no harsh pressure washing that could damage the stone. Deep cleaning restores a bright, cared-for appearance; structural resetting and heavy refinishing are handled by our repair and restoration services. Every clean comes with before-and-after photos.
In California, deep cleaning is supported by our 7 showroom and warehouse locations in Carmichael, Sacramento, Laguna Woods, Colma, Los Angeles, Morgan Hill. These are listed locations, not a promise of shorter lead times or lower charges. Confirm access, crew availability and the full scope for your cemetery before booking.
We work with monuments purchased from any retailer — not just our own family of brands — and every visit in California is documented with photos so distant families can see the work was done correctly and respectfully.

VA cleaning rules for government markers in California
VA's National Cemetery Administration lists 12 cemeteries in California: 5 open for new burials, 1 open for cremated remains only and 6 with no new gravesites (closed). VA also lists 4 grant-funded state or tribal veterans cemeteries in California.
The goal of cleaning is to remove air pollution soiling, lichen, bird droppings, dirt, salts and sap. It is not to make the headstone or marker look “like new.”

VA prohibits the general public from power washing government-furnished headstones and markers because of the damage it may cause to historical headstones.

Cleaning visits should respect each cemetery’s monuments, decorations and schedule. Here is what VA publishes for Riverside National Cemetery.
Riverside National Cemetery
Monuments and memorials
Riverside National cemetery is home of the Medal of Honor Memorial and one of four sites recognized as a National Medal of Honor Memorial Site.
The Medal of Honor Memorial, whose walls feature the names of all medal recipients, is located at the third traffic circle in the cemetery.
The Fallen Soldier/Veterans' Memorial, erected in 2000, is dedicated to all service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Decoration calendar
Modifications to the weekly flower pickup schedule are made for the following holidays: Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and the Christmas season.
Seasonal Holiday Adornments for Christmas and Hanukkah, such as wreaths, potted poinsettias and other seasonal items may be placed on graves from December 15 through January 15.
Floral and grounds rules
No item or object may be attached to the headstone or niche cover.
Headstones and niche covers are federal property, altering or marking by paint, marker, lipstick or any other means is prohibited.
The intent of our floral guidelines is to ensure that we maintain the cemetery with the dignity befitting a National Shrine.
